Save Videos. Your Way.

Simple, free tools for videos you own or are allowed to download.

Direct links to video files only — e.g. https://example.com/video.mp4

or

Save a local video file

Pick a video file already on your device and save a copy of it — handy on mobile, where "downloading" a file you already have isn't always obvious.

How it works

1. Paste a direct link

ClipFetch checks the link safely in your browser. It reads the file's name, type, and size — the URL is sent nowhere and stored nowhere.

2. Check before you save

You'll see exactly what the file is before anything happens. If the link isn't a video, is too large, or the server blocks access, we tell you honestly.

3. Download what's allowed

Only download videos you own, that are licensed for download, or that you're explicitly permitted to save. We never bypass DRM, logins, or paywalls.

What ClipFetch can't do

We'd rather be upfront than overpromise:

  • No YouTube downloading. YouTube's terms forbid it, so we don't do it — and no tool that claims otherwise has our blessing.
  • No DRM or paywall bypass. If a site requires a login, subscription, or encryption, ClipFetch stops there.
  • Direct file links only. Links to streaming players (players, embeds, "watch" pages) are not video files and will be flagged.
  • Server restrictions apply. Some servers block cross-origin checks (CORS). When that happens we can't read the file details, and we say so instead of guessing.
  • Your browser does the work. Nothing is uploaded to us — which also means very large files depend on your device's memory.

About

ClipFetch is a small, free, open static tool. There's no account, no tracking, and no server-side processing: every check runs in your browser and nothing you paste is stored or logged. It exists for one job — helping you keep copies of videos that are yours to keep.
